About The Position

Technicians are assigned to perform maintenance work. The technician may be an ExxonMobil employee or contractor resource and typically reports to a supervisor.

Requirements

Discipline-appropriate certification, if applicable, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
Effective team player who can work with individuals over whom they have no direct authority and is willing to assist others.
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and frequent changes in priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Nice To Haves

Respirator fit testing is required.

Responsibilities

Estimate workloads and establish completion dates.
Assist mechanical engineers with the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment and machinery, including engines, instruments, controls, robots and machines.
Help prepare proposals and cost estimates.
Actively participate in the use of all required on-the-job safety tools.
Review job packs.
Identify safety issues associated with each job and ensure they are removed or mitigated before beginning work.
Execute work as planned.
Record technical history as required by the workgroup, including Global Reliability Tool (GRT) records, data sheets and related documentation.
Provide feedback to the Execution FLS regarding job-pack improvements.
Request permits and notify the supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time.
