About The Position

Summit Wash Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to maintain car wash facilities and equipment in working order. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment so customers receive a clean, dry, spotless car. It suits someone who enjoys solving problems and keeping operations efficient and smooth. The position is located in South New Jersey.

Applicants are required to complete the Predictive Index (PI) Behavioral Assessment as part of the hiring process. Completion is required for the application to proceed in the review process.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of plumbing, electrical, and commercial building maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase high voltage.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Mechanical aptitude or knowledge.
• Electrical and plumbing aptitude.
• Must have own means of transportation.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Able to remain on feet for at least 10 hours at a time.
• Able to work in areas requiring kneeling, leaning, crouching, or crawling.
• Able to work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Trade license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.
• Follow diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturers’ instructions to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locate problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Dismantle devices using hoists and hand and power tools to remove defective parts.
• Adjust functional device parts and control instruments using hand tools.
• Reduce downtime by informing workers about routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
