About The Position

R. J. Corman is currently seeking Mechanical Team Members (QMI) to join our team in the Williston, ND. This position will work 12 hour shifts, and the operation is active 24/7, 365 days per year.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required.
Must have good communication and people skills with demonstrated ability to develop team work and work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals.

Nice To Haves

Railroad carman experience with extended haul inspections highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Railcar inspections & repairs must be documented for verification and to ensure the work is being done correctly and in a timely manner
Complete railcar inspections, including extended haul inspections in compliance with 49 CFR Parts 215, 218, 224, 231, 232
Maintain understanding of documenting work performed and recording material usage. All federally required paperwork for railcar repairs must be complete and correct
Ensure that repair jobs are completed in a timely manner
Ensure that vehicles and shops are kept clean & safe
Must undergo QMI training
Must be proficient in car repair, data entry, and material ordering.
May require qualification to move locomotives and freight cars. Additional training provided.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
