Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment, such as vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, electrical power supplies, water chillers, and electrical control systems, in multiple aerospace manufacturing facilities. Coordinates with suppliers for service and parts. Creates and maintains a Sputter Chamber Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, as well as an Operations Manual. This position may start as an apprenticeship, based on previous experience, to ensure that an employee has the necessary skillset and work ethic needed for the responsibilities and tasks. The length of the apprenticeship is determined by the employee’s ability to learn and apply the necessary skillset. The necessary metric used to determine advancement will be the use of process fundamentals, knowledge of tools and equipment, proficiency in communicating in verbal and written forms, and showing an organized approach to assignments. The apprenticeship period should be used to focus on soft skills such as aptitude, communication, physical demand, and learning.
