About The Position

As a Mechanical Installation Supervisor, you will lead mechanical installation projects at customer sites across North America. The Mechanical Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing installation crews, coordinating work assignments, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and completing projects on time and within budget. This hands-on leadership role requires planning, team guidance, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with project management to deliver successful mechanical system installations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading installation teams and/or maintaining conveyor or material handling equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge in conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, run in and detailing of equipment, ordering materials/VMI as well as collaborating with IM’s on purchases, work with PMM for needs of project, oversee area handoff to Pre-commissioning.
  • Good computer experience, emailing, spreadsheet input and report input.
  • Responsible for ToolWatch and Tool & Asset inventor.
  • Must take initiative, be task and results oriented.
  • Ability to motivate and direct others in an effective and professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work in all regions of the U.S.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Travel 100% to customer sites across the United States, using your personal vehicle.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Ability to lead large groups of teams with a diverse set of backgrounds and capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Will need to acquire OSHA 30 certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a crew of 25+ installers.
  • Conduct daily and weekly toolbox talks.
  • Conduct safety stand downs when necessary.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed on the project.
  • Approve Time and Time in ISM and Passport.
  • Oversee conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, run in and detailing of equipment, ordering materials/VMI, collaborating with IM’s on purchases, work with PMM for needs of project, and oversee area handoff to Pre-commissioning.
  • Work closely with Resource Team Leads to help evaluate, train, or discipline resources.
  • Perform Gensuite Safety Audits – BBS, Housekeeping, Safety.
  • Provide jobsite installation leadership with the goal of completing assigned tasks with focus on quality and within planned hours and budget.
  • Represent Dematic professionally when interacting with other internal Dematic teams and customer.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, assigning tasks and supervise daily progress.
  • Maintain safety documentation as well as Gensuite audits and ensure compliance with safety laws, site policies and company standards.
