The Mechanical Superintendent will actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” This role represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business and Ethics.” The position involves planning and supervising work activities, determining methods of construction, safety procedures, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, and work schedules. The Mechanical Superintendent will oversee the precision of rotating and static equipment, coordinate assigned work with different crafts, company departments, and/or other contractors, and maintain liaison with safety, engineering, estimating, and planning departments to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications, and schedules. This role also assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues, conducts accident investigations, maintains communication with HR for manpower requisitions, monitors craft compliance with the project safety program, documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented, and maintains liaison with other departments (Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and the project schedule. The Mechanical Superintendent will also conduct field safety audits and maintain a complete understanding of the Corporate Safety Manual and requirements. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as directed.
