About The Position

IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Student Clerk in Urbandale, Iowa, to assist with administrative and limited technical aspects of engineering and administrative projects. The role supports specified or various disciplines and includes assisting with design work, researching equipment, documenting project information, and reviewing project documents. The team supports commercial and institutional work, with a strong focus on higher-education facilities and experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and energy-modeling scopes. This is a full-time, in-office program lasting 3–12 months. Sponsorship is not available.

IMEG describes the opportunity as a paid internship with hands-on project work, an assigned mentor, and a cohort of fellow interns. Requirements

• Pursuing secondary education with an interest in engineering or design.
• Strong interest in engineering consulting.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, with individuals or groups.

• Skill in the use of modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of engineering-system projects.
• Research commercially available equipment resources.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to engineering and office activities.
