About The Position

The Mechanical Structural Engineering Manager will oversee the structural and mechanical design projects and department within a manufacturing company. This is a long-term contract-to-hire position requiring on-site work.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 6+ years of experience as a team lead or supervisor
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks)
• Understands codes and standards including UFC, IBC, ANSI and ASCE

Responsibilities

• Management of the structural and mechanical design projects and department.
• Assigning resources for various engineering projects and developing those resources to meet company needs.
• Select, develop and evaluate engineering personnel to ensure department operations.
• Manage and oversee analysis, testing and feasibility studies.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the structural portion of a design.
