About The Position

ProEnergy is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Startup Mechanical Laborer to support the commissioning and startup of power generation facilities. The position assists in the startup and commissioning of mechanical systems on large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) power plant projects. This is a field position requiring 90% travel.

Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools preferred.
Ability to read and follow basic instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work in harsh environments, in stressful situations and during unsociable hours.
Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience on construction or industrial job sites preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools preferred.
Ability to read and follow basic instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Physically able to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist mechanical technicians and engineers with installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, equipment setup, and site cleanup.
Help prepare and maintain startup documentation, including test records and punch lists.
Perform material handling, equipment setup, and general labor tasks to support startup crews.
Follow instructions from startup engineers and electricians to ensure safe and efficient work.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all site safety protocols.
