About The Position

Beverage Systems is a family-owned business established in 1988, dedicated to providing exceptional service to the dispensed beverage industry. We are seeking talented individuals with a passion for customer service, attention to detail, and a desire to apply their technical skills throughout a busy workday. The role involves servicing customers, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the regional dispatch team primarily in the DE/PA/MD area. Occasional overnight travel may be required based on business needs. This position requires interaction with various businesses including retail, hospital, and educational institutions, necessitating strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with the public. All necessary training will be provided by the company.

Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Clean Driver Record
  • Occasional Weekend Availability
  • Must have some electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Be able to read volts, amps, ohms, and continuity on multimeters.
  • Must have some plumbing knowledge.
  • Must provide your own general tools.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally diagnose, restore, and repair beverage equipment throughout the day.
  • Install, repair, and maintain field beverage equipment.
  • Represent the company and its customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of productivity related to the amount of completed calls.
  • Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial beverage and related equipment at customer locations.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, troubleshooting, and repair of beverage equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge of equipment and communicate with the supervisor when extra training may be needed.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Comply with regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times while treating customers, driving company vehicles, etc.
  • Fill out field service reports properly, legibly, and with as much information as possible.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the dispatcher to ensure accurate information relay and system entry.
  • Maintain company vehicles in good working condition, both mechanically and organized.
  • Arrange for routine maintenance and required service for company vehicles, ensuring proper documentation is kept up-to-date.
  • Fulfill all new and existing training requirements as set by service managers and/or technician development directors.
  • Cover emergency calls on weekends on a rotating basis as laid out by the manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
