About The Position
SGS is looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector – Chemical Sampling & Material Transfer in Pasco, WA for a 6 month contract with a possibility of an extension. The scope includes monitoring material transfer operations, witnessing weighing activities, and collecting samples of GFR chemicals in both solid and liquid forms. Given the nature of this work and the associated exposure risks, the use of respiratory PPE (PAPR – Powered Air Purifying Respirator) is mandatory.
Requirements
- AWS CWI or API certification
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years industrial sample monitoring experience
- Industrial experience in Oil & gas / Power & Utility / Construction / Manufacturing, etc.
- Must have access to and be properly equipped with a PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) to safely perform the required duties.
- Must either already be Bechtel pre-qualified or be capable of obtaining BSQE Mechanical Level II Qualification
