Mechanical Project Engineer (Fresno)
About The Position
TETER is seeking a passionate Mechanical Project Engineer to join their growing Mechanical Engineering Team. This role involves designing high-performing HVAC and plumbing systems for buildings, collaborating with teams, and seeing projects through from concept to construction. The Mechanical Project Engineer will lead the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of building types, working closely with architects, engineers, and clients to develop practical, efficient, and code-compliant solutions. They will also mentor junior staff and help projects stay on track. The specific Project Engineer level (I or II) will be determined by experience, capabilities, and project complexity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 6 months via reciprocity
- Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for buildings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Revit experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and lead HVAC and plumbing systems from early design through construction
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and consultants
- Guide production of construction documents and support QA/QC efforts
- Support construction with RFIs, submittals, and site visits
- Mentor junior engineers and drafters and support team development
