About The Position

This is an exceptionally exciting moment to enter the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Global demand for advanced computing-driven by AI, automation, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation-is fueling the largest period of growth and reinvestment the sector has seen in decades. Semiconductors are now recognized as critical to economic resilience, national security, and technological leadership leading to unprecedented expansion in manufacturing capacity and innovation. For professionals in the field, this translates to rare opportunities to shape breakthrough technologies, contribute to globally significant projects, and be part of arguably the most rapidly evolving and impactful industry ever. Intel's Global Construction Engineering (GCE) organization is responsible for the design and engineering of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom facilities worldwide. Our organization consists of highly specialized, in-house architects and engineers working in a deeply collaborative environment. Together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners, we deliver some of the most technically complex construction programs in the industry-projects that demand precision, speed, and disciplined cost management. Our vision is to be the world leader in semiconductor foundry construction engineering, and we are expanding our team to support the acceleration of Intel Foundry's manufacturing roadmap. We are seeking exceptional, technical talent to join our organization that thrive in a fast-paced environment that enjoys working with leading edge technology and is motivated by opportunities to innovate and make meaningful business impact. We are looking for world-class technical talent to join our team. Our Mechanical Project Engineers are highly valued and are relied on to provide technical leadership in their area of expertise. They are one of the first to be consulted for any major construction project related to Mechanical (Chillers, Boilers, HVAC, Process Cooling Water, Oil-Free Air, Process Vacuum systems etc). Early in the project, they assess the feasibility of new projects. They later develop a more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines. During detailed design and construction performed by our world-class supply chain partners, our Project Engineers serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution. The project engineer manages the performance of the Integrators Architectural and Engineering/Owners design Consultant vendor in their discipline. Mechanical scope includes HVAC, Exhaust, Chilled Water, Heating Water, Fire Protection, Cleanroom Makeup Air, and Return Air Handlers. Process Mechanical scope includes exhaust abatement systems (scrubbers and RTCOs), Process Cooling Water, Oil Free Air, and Process Vacuum System. This is a hybrid position at the Chandler campus in Chandler, Arizona. Training assignments may be required at other domestic or international locations.
