About The Position
The Mechanical Project Engineer will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. High energy, a strong sense of curiosity and hands-on mechanical experience is required.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience in a manufactured products environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing machines and machine components including but not limited to shafts, bearings, motors, frames, fixturing, etc.
- Prior experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team orientation.
Responsibilities
- Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes and product designs.
- Evaluates business cases for new manufacturing processes, presents recommendations to upper management.
- Creates new designs to solve difficult manufacturing problems.
- Designs or sources production equipment, robotic systems and automation equipment.
- Prepares detailed CAD models and drawings to facilitate fabrication.
