The Mechanical Project Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing) role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and coordinating the design and implementation of capital and expense improvement projects. This involves working with manufacturing teams, engineering personnel, R&D representatives, and other technical resources to complete projects. The role handles the organizational and administrative aspects of project implementation within the plant and is directly accountable for adhering to the plant's capital budget. Project drivers typically include turnaround time, capacity improvements, reliability, mechanical inspections, process safety, and general plant health and safety initiatives. The mechanical projects engineer often participates in safety and process safety activities such as Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Changes (MOCs), Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews, and Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs. They also support the Behavior Based Safety (BBS) process through observations and adherence to Loss Control policies, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and other management systems. This is an onsite role in Bristol, PA.
