About The Position

This role involves managing capital projects in accordance with the organization’s project management policy. The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for contractor/construction coordination and supervision with an emphasis on safety. Additionally, the role includes organizing and driving Asheville’s utility project prioritization with an emphasis on sustainability, and supporting production capacity efforts through the application of automation and robotics, while understanding the technical aspects of the production processes.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred); other disciplines acceptable based upon work experience
  • 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years of capital project management or participation
