•$21 - $29•Hybrid

About The Position

The Mechanical Product Validation Engineering Intern will support DTNA’s Subsystem Optimization and Validation Team, which focuses on subsystem-level analysis, process simulation, and mechanisms and compliance testing. The team integrates simulation and physical testing to correlate virtual predictions with real-world performance and improve engineering decision-making. The intern will support DTNA’s Real-to-Virtual initiative by helping set up and execute validation tests, documenting test procedures and results, organizing and analyzing test data, and comparing physical test outcomes with simulation predictions. The work provides hands-on experience across CAE, process simulation, experimental testing, and product validation in collaboration with experienced engineers across disciplines. Other work may include developing tools and processes to improve validation activities, preparing Design Verification Plans and Reports, supporting project planning and status reporting, identifying project risks, and communicating validation scope, requirements, impacts, and timing. The internship is hybrid in Portland, Oregon, with four days per week in the office and one day remote. Relocation assistance may be available to eligible candidates.
