About The Position

This role is responsible for managing all phases of developing key maintenance programs from conception through final implementation. The engineer will collaborate with key maintenance and engineering personnel to support daily, monthly scheduled maintenance outages, and annual outage jobs, with a focus on electrical maintenance and engineering. There will be some crossover activities to mechanical maintenance programs to ensure comprehensive program delivery for all equipment types. The position involves working with mechanical maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete electrical or mechanical maintenance projects and programs, including training, spare parts stocking, preventive maintenance checklists, and drawing updates. The role supports the mill's goals for safety, environmental protection, and other needs. Key responsibilities include managing equipment tracking and rebuild programs, utilizing predictive & preventative maintenance to identify and correct issues, inputting and updating equipment information, developing equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance, managing area equipment PM and maintenance programs, and overseeing assigned work for monthly and annual outages. The engineer will also seek opportunities to solve issues, reduce costs, and improve planning performance, using the mill’s RCFA program for problem-solving, and effectively managing contractors. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Complete electrical or mechanical maintenance projects and programs including necessary training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation and updates.
  • Support the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
  • Manage equipment tracking and rebuild programs.
  • Utilize predictive & preventative maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues.
  • Input and update equipment information and documentation.
  • Develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage area equipment PM and maintenance programs.
  • Manage assigned work for monthly and annual outages.
  • Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance.
  • Solve problems utilizing the mill’s RCFA program.
  • Effectively manage contractors for performing jobs.
  • Performs other responsibilities as needed.
