Mechanical Planner/Scheduler - Cold Mill/Mill Finishing Maintenance
About The Position
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler exists to support the objectives of the plant and assigned areas in managing the 24/7 planning and scheduling of the craft personnel and maintenance work throughout the facility. This position will plan, organize, coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, plant projects or project assignments utilizing in-house maintenance personnel, outside contractors or venders. The primary objective of the Maintenance Planner position is to facilitate daily work assignments and projects for maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure the tasks are performed to high quality standards and in an efficient and timely manner.
Requirements
- managing the 24/7 planning and scheduling of the craft personnel and maintenance work throughout the facility
- plan, organize, coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, plant projects or project assignments utilizing in-house maintenance personnel, outside contractors or venders
Responsibilities
- project lay-out/scope of work
- purchase of needed parts and /or materials from bill-of-material
- basic specification and design and development of prints
- submittal of contract bids for quote and award
- project and contracted service oversight, i.e. project leader
