About The Position

Reinicke Athens, Inc. has an immediate opening for a skilled and organized Mechanical Piping Superintendent to join our Athens, GA team! We seek candidates with industrial construction experience, specifically in process piping. This position requires travel to job sites throughout the Southeast, and per diem is available for eligible employees.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in industrial process piping construction.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe fitting and welding.
  • Experience with welding maps, WPR/WPS, NDT requirements, and test package preparation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry codes (AWS, AISC, etc.).
  • Experience managing major industrial piping projects.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple trades.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong background in rigging and equipment setting preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret contracts, drawings, and specifications; identify and address deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) inspection plans and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate all piping activities, including scheduling and subcontractor oversight.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs, tracking progress, issues, and project impacts.
  • Develop and manage 3-day and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor and maintain projected costs (labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors).
  • Evaluate and supervise craftsmen to ensure high performance and project success.
  • Plan and oversee piping procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Inspect work in progress to confirm compliance with project specifications.
  • Enforce safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Ensure piping, mechanical work, and welding meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Promote a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Support project closeout by ensuring proper documentation is transmitted to the client.
