The Piping Superintendent is responsible for planning the works and daily supervision of subordinate foremen and craft employees tasked with layout, fabricate, assemble, installation, testing and re-instating piping including pipe supports and fixtures for process and utility systems. This role involves actively supporting the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values,” and representing the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Key functions include planning and supervising work activities, determining construction methods, safety procedures and requirements, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules, and documenting actual hours worked. The Superintendent coordinates assigned work with different crafts, company departments, and/or subcontractors. They maintain liaison with the safety department, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications, and schedules. The position also assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues, conducts accident investigations, maintains communication with the HR Department for manpower requisition, monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements, and ensures corrective measures are implemented. Furthermore, the Superintendent maintains liaison with other departments (Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support craft activities and the project schedule. Field safety audits are conducted as required, and a complete understanding of the Corporate Safety Manual and requirements is maintained. Additional responsibilities may be performed as directed.
