Requirements

  • Trade school coursework or some hands-on experience in building maintenance, equipment maintenance, or refrigeration is a plus
  • Forklift or material handling equipment maintenance experience is a plus
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay organized, multitask, and follow direction
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including cold storage (as low as -20°F) or warmer conditions, with provided gear
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, depending on the facility
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed
  • Comfortable working in environments that may be loud or require working at heights (at select locations)

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance team with preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, building systems, and facility grounds—with guidance and training from experienced leaders
  • Assist with basic refrigeration system checks while learning industry best practices
  • Perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment to keep operations running safely and smoothly
  • Pitch in on other tasks as needed to support the team
  • Use power tools and basic welding equipment to assist with repairs and projects
  • Safely operate lifts and other equipment, including helping with inspections and basic upkeep
