About The Position

Work in a team environment to safely perform the necessary mechanical maintenance to maintain plant operations. Responsibilities include maintaining a high awareness of quality, safety, and teamwork within the team.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to utilize/operate a computer, peripheral equipment and appropriate software.
  • Must be able to wear a full face respirator.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all plant safety rules and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Support Supervisor and Specialist.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems in the plant.
  • Review equipment manuals and establish preventive maintenance frequency intervals, along with proper lubrication.
  • Make recommendations and implement equipment improvements when necessary.
  • Purchase replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Provide technical direction and assistance as required by outside maintenance contractors. Inspect the completed work of the contractor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance/lubrication for all mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process and in the HVAC system for the facility.
  • Perform mechanical equipment repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems as they occur. As necessary, perform failure analysis and make recommendations.
  • Manage the spare part inventory for mechanical equipment. Forecast usage and order spare parts as required.
  • As needed, weld parts and equipment to make appropriate repairs.
