About The Position
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair equipment at a water treatment facility. We welcome experienced mechanics as well as motivated apprentices who have a strong mechanical aptitude and are eager to learn.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Clean or substantially clean background (no recent offenses or violent crimes).
- Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience.
- Comfortable using a computer for reporting and documentation.
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or welding.
- Experience working on industrial equipment or machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
- Service and repair valves, pumps, compressors, engine generators, boilers, motors, pipes, and fittings.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Complete maintenance reports and work orders using a computer.
- Identify equipment issues and recommend repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
