You will be maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly-Clark products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work. This role is part of Kimberly-Clark’s investment in creating new jobs and expanding its capabilities to produce premium products that are essential to millions of lives around the world, and right here in Loudon. In this role, you will: Be maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly-Clark products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work. Support a specific asset and work maintenance downs as needed. Work on a range of technology and equipment in a clean, well-lit environment. Diagnose and resolve a variety of urgent challenges and problems (every day is different). Join a team that supports your growth and development. Maintenance Partners typically work 10 hour shifts / 4 days a week M-F with evening and weekend call-in support as needed.

Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years’ experience of skilled mechanical maintenance work within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
  • Specific trade experience in general mechanical maintenance, (especially industrial rotating equipment), welding, pipefitting and millwright skills.
  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
  • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

Nice To Haves

  • Machining and other trade specializations such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and vibration analysis are desirable.
  • Post high school vocational training in Mechanical technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in a safe manner and report unsafe acts and conditions.

  • Ensure that process equipment and work areas are maintained in a manner that meets established housekeeping standards.
  • Actively participate in task analysis and process specific maintenance training, demonstrating retention of key process knowledge and maintenance skills.
  • Participate in activities and work groups which drive continuous improvement in the operating team, unit, and the mill's ability to meet business requirements, manufacturing process capability, and the quality of work life.
  • Develop and continue to demonstrate skills and knowledge about the manufacturing process.
  • Learn and demonstrate problem-solving/ troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain constructive and effective working relationships with other work group members.
  • Proactively and constructively confront barriers to effective working cooperation, or individual/group performance.
  • Exhibit flexibility by supporting any potential site needs, non-day shift work (nights, weekends) along with call-ins as required.
  • Communicate concisely, completely and in a timely manner about business issues.
  • Learn and demonstrate positive team interaction skills.
