About The Position

This position involves practical, hands-on engineering, problem solving, and supervising technical staff. The role requires routine maintenance of plant, equipment, and machinery, designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods, and scheduling planned and unplanned work. The engineer will be responsible for diagnosing breakdown problems, directing and instructing maintenance technicians, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Familiarity with standard maintenance methodologies, equipment design, installation, and project management is essential. The role also includes recordkeeping and communication with supervisors and coworkers, as well as supervising projects while working hands-on with the team. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
At least 5 years mechanical engineer experience
Equipment installation and preventative-predictive maintenance knowledge
Able to read blueprints and technical documentation with understanding process operations and maintenance
Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and CAD Systems
