About The Position

The Facilities Division is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Technician II (MMOT II) that performs technical duties in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems, and associated equipment. Performs inspections to determine maintenance needs and procedures for documentation, repair, or remediation.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns and performs work in the maintenance and operations of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical and refrigeration equipment.
• Installs, repairs, maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and electrical systems.
• Inspects and maintains the working performance of equipment in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturers specifications.
• Consults with engineering personnel and contractors concerning installation and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Maintains records and inventory of parts and equipment for maintenance operations.
• Recommends changes in operations and maintenance procedures.
• Assists in snow removal at KY Air National Guard base as required.
