About The Position

Group Leaders are responsible for maintaining quality products, training new employees, promoting employee safety, and ensuring each department completes tasks correctly and on schedule. This role involves supervising and training other employees, hiring and terminating employees as needed, overseeing an entire assembly line, and assuming Supervisor duties in their absence. The position requires efficient use and reading of prints and tape measures, knowledge of manufacturing principles, and familiarity with air and hand tools such as screw guns, drills, and sanders. Responsibilities include managing the daily production schedule, conducting inspections, completing equipment checklists, and submitting daily production reports to management. Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Windows software are also necessary.

Requirements

3-5 years in a lead role within a manufacturing environment; boat industry preferred
Strong working knowledge surrounding fiberglass product(s)
Able to stand and walk around all day
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending frequently
Able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of material
Ability to be cross trained

Responsibilities

Supervise and train other employees
