Furmano Foods is looking for Mechanical Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift. Individual must perform maintenance repairs, troubleshooting, and support our food production and labeling operations. The role is responsible for work order completion of planned projects as well as addressing breakdowns, failures, and repairs. Applicants must be comfortable working in both team and individual contributor environments.

Requirements

A minimum of three (3) years of related mechanical experience
Welding experience preferred
Must have the ability to work through technical questions with a team, prioritize projects and assign to workers on the team, and work with purchasing manager to order necessary parts.
Must have the ability to communicate and work well with people on the team, and with other managers and lead personnel.
Ability to lift 50lbs+
Manual dexterity
Simple grasping: frequent
Related Mechanical Experience (3 years)
Technical/other training or better in Mechanical Systems or related field

Welding experience

Responsibilities

Install new and existing equipment
Diagnose mechanical problems/ bearings, drives, hydraulics, and piping systems
Provide recommendations and solutions for equipment modifications
Welding/cutting including Stick, Mig, Tig, Plasma, Acetylene
Interpret and follow Blueprints, diagrams, and instructions
Work through technical questions with a team, prioritize projects and assign to workers on the team, and work with purchasing manager to order necessary parts.
Communicate and work well with people on the team, and with other managers and lead personnel.
