Mechanical Intern - Mechanical
About The Position
We are searching for a Mechanical Intern to join our growing Professional Design Team in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will be mentored by our dynamic team of Mechanical Engineers while supporting and leading a range of multidisciplinary projects. In this role, you will also interface with clients and support proposal development. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow professionally in the field of mechanical engineering. This role is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects while learning from an experienced team of professionals.
Requirements
- Engineering student on track for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Creative, adaptive, and flexible with a strong interest in designing and drafting in AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent software
- A solid understanding of the basics of applied engineering principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Participation in at least one in-person interview
- Expectation of in-person onboarding at a Pond office location
- Satisfactory background check results
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship experience with related responsibilities is highly preferred
