Mechanical Engineering Intern
About The Position
The purpose of this internship is to be able to be trained on the assembly and repair of leak test instrumentation. The intern will learn and implement equipment in the field and assist with the setup of equipment. Assist in the production of custom test systems. Specific internship goals include understanding the production of measurement instruments, gaining background knowledge of ISO standards, developing skills in organization and project management, and understanding team dynamics and customer interaction. Specific knowledge, skills, and techniques that will be learned include ISO Standards, ERP Software, Communication, Measurement and quality control, and Leak testing technology. The intern’s acquisition of new skills and competencies will be measured by a technical questionnaire about Pneumatic, electric, and electronics, assessed monthly.
Requirements
- Understanding of how production of measurement instrument is managed
- Background of the ISO standard
- Develop skills of organization and project management
- Develop team working and how US employees interact with each other and the customer
- Knowledge of ISO Standards
