About The Position

SpaceX is hiring a Mechanical Integration & Test Engineer for its Starshield User Products team. Integration and Test Engineers generate and interpret manufacturing and test procedures for Starshield user products, including user terminals, ground stations, and gateways. The role requires working knowledge of design, schematics, operations, manufacturing, and testing, and involves tackling a variety of work-center challenges and interdepartmental development projects. The team’s goal is to ensure that satellites and customers achieve their missions. This is a hands-on role involving close collaboration with engineers and technicians. Some travel to other SpaceX sites may be required, up to 10%. Employees must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet mission-critical deadlines. The work may require standing for up to four hours at a time, climbing ladders, stooping, bending, crawling, and working in tight spaces. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations. An active clearance may lead to work on sensitive missions and, when applicable, pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
