Denali Mechanical Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)
About The Position
Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems SBU Engineering Team is currently hiring a Mechanical Integrated Product Team Lead, Associate Director, for its Strategic Strike portfolio. This is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to work on a competitive pursuit to shape the solution to a unique mission area, taking that solution to a mature Technical Data Package and demonstrating its capacities to our government counterparts. Join our organization and oversee all Mechanical attributes of the weapon system while interfacing with a variety of engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, Chief Engineers, Chief Technologists, the customer, and so many more to ensure we design, integrate, verify, and strengthen our systems to work the first time and every time for our warfighters! This is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Mechanical development, integration, and qualification; Structural / Thermal Analysis; Mechanisms design and test; Transition To Production (TTP)
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management.
- Experience and thorough understanding of Mechanical Engineering Product Development Cycle.
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in STEM.
- Experience as a subject matter expert in technical briefs/ presentations, proposals, fracas.
- Demonstration and championing all of RTX values.
- Experience with CREO, cPDM and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures along with DoD customer infrastructure experience.
- Familiarity with system safety, reliability, configuration management, and evaluating / mitigating technical risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update and improve technical documentation for development and production efforts.
- Support Design and System Verification testing/Data collection.
- Support system performance analysis.
- Oversee modeling of the system using CREO.
- Participate in Failure Investigations.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer within and across IPTs/CPTs to include Cross-Functional collaboration and coordination.
- Facilitate and drive development efforts both within RTX and with our suppliers.
- Own the scope and budget of a large group of control accounts.
- Ensure technical rigor of documents.
- Coordinate across teams.
- Share program process knowledge.
- Mentor earlier in career engineers.
- Brief the mechanical development strategy for the program to customers and RTX senior leadership.
