About The Position

A hands-on role focused on installing large- and small-scale conveyor, robotic, automation, and commercial systems. The Mechanical Installation Lead uses strong installation and leadership abilities and is expected to be flexible and committed to maintaining project schedules and managing materials, resources, and production. The position requires continuous travel to client sites for material handling system installations, with the ability to travel 90% nationally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in the construction/mechanical installation industry.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Ability to travel 90% nationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead site and personnel safety initiatives and meet safety training requirements.
• Mentor and train Installation Technicians I, II, and III.
• Lead a team of 2–10 Technicians.
• Perform or assist with mechanical installation work.
• Apply knowledge of fabrication or Advanced Technology installation.
• Meet schedule demands and site production requirements.
• Respond to the needs of project and site management.
• Coordinate cost-effective travel for project labor management.
• Coach team members effectively.
• Safely delegate management-assigned tasks in a timely manner and to quality standards.
• Manage and approve expense reports.
• Approve Technician time sheets in ADP and D365.
• Assist with annual performance reviews for direct reports.
• Follow information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report suspected security incidents.
