About The Position

Dematic is seeking Mechanical Installers to work on customer projects at locations throughout the continental United States. Employees may be based anywhere in the continental USA but must be willing to travel 100% to customer locations. The role involves completing assigned mechanical installation tasks safely, on time, and to a high standard, while following direction from site supervision and supporting the site supervisor and foreman. The estimated base pay range is $34,000–$64,000; final compensation depends on factors including work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience and knowledge installing and/or maintaining conveyor equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Experience in conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection, conveyor installation, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing, and run-in of installed equipment.

Technical degree or specialized training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Take personal responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others nearby.
Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks within the allotted time and to a high standard, as directed by site supervision.
Follow direction from the site supervisor or foreman.
Provide support to the site supervisor and foreman.
Travel 100% to customer sites within the USA.
Perform physical tasks including lifting at least 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and walking around large construction sites in various climates and environments.
