About The Position

The selected candidate will be required to perform arrival condition, in-process and final product inspections as well as witness testing operations. Also responsible for ensuring that all requirements of drawings and procedures are met for specific processes (shipboard, shop, and warehouse). Assist with Quality Improvement Activities. Selected candidate will inspect various piping systems and mechanical components on Naval Aircraft Carriers and Submarines. Applicant will climb tall ladders, crawl tanks/bilges in confined spaces, inspect from Aerial Lifts, inspect areas extending over shoulders and working in adverse environment conditions for long periods of time. Candidate must be detailed oriented, possess basic computer skills, able to read associated drawings, Inspection Reports, test addendums and work packages. Candidate will assist and take part in Quality Improvement Activities.

Requirements

Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.

Nice To Haves

High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
Mechanical or piping installation background.
Clear understanding of distributive systems and how they operate on naval surface ships and submarines.
Able to navigate and read drawings, and procedures.
Great work ethic, able to perform well independently or as a team.
Comfortable/competent with recording detailed information in a constantly evolving work environment.
Experience in the quality or inspection and testing fields.
Prior Military experience or leadership experience would be a plus.
Have a current security clearance or able to obtain one.
