About The Position

Winshaw Hydraulic Tools is a fast-paced hydraulics company based in Houston, Texas. The company is seeking an additional hydraulic technician as part of its continued growth and expansion. The technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to ongoing projects from the first day. The role may also involve welding, metal fabrication, electrical assembly, drawing review, part inspection and testing, and modifying or fabricating parts using shop equipment. Pay is based on experience.

Requirements

Good knowledge of hydraulics.
Ability to start working on ongoing projects from the first day.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems.
Read blueprints and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systems.
Occasionally perform welding, metal fabrication, and electrical assembly work.
Review drawings and provide suggestions related to part inspection and testing.
Use computers, email, and other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.
Read gauges to determine system pressure and evaluate equipment performance.
Occasionally operate a drill press, grinders, an engine lathe, or other machines to modify tested parts or fabricate experimental parts for testing.
Begin work on projects currently underway.
