General Motors is transforming the automotive industry with electrification and the development of central compute and autonomous capabilities. The CCH (Central Compute Hardware) Mechanical Design team develops enclosures for next-generation ECUs (Electronic Control Units) used in both future ICE and EV vehicles. This team is responsible for the Mechanical, EMI, and Thermal design of new compute-related electronics, utilizing math, CAD, and analysis. They also review and approve production design changes. We are seeking a high-performing Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the in-house development of GM SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) electronics design and engineering. You will be responsible for the mechanical design, development, and review of Electrical Controllers for our next-generation SDV architecture. Building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional peers will be crucial.
