Hardware Mechanical Engineer
About The Position
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Mechanical Engineer with strong automotive experience to support the development of next-generation automotive compute units / Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The successful candidate will take ownership of the mechanical design activities, working closely with CAD designers and cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Validation, Material Engineering and Manufacturing. The role requires strong practical knowledge of mechanical design for automotive electronics, manufacturing technologies, thermal management, EMC/ESD considerations, GD&T and tolerance management.

Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design activities for automotive compute units / ECUs.
- Translate and interpret internal and customer requirements using requirements-management tools such as Polarion and DOORS.
- Work closely with CAD designers to develop robust mechanical solutions.
- Coordinate mechanical development with Electrical Engineering, Validation, Material Engineering and other disciplines.
- Define mechanical design concepts suitable for A-Sample development and subsequent production.
- Apply design principles for EMC and ESD robustness.
- Manage dimensional accuracy and interfaces to ensure correct assembly and product performance.
- Perform and review tolerance stack-up calculations and define appropriate tolerances.
- Apply GD&T principles to mechanical components and assemblies.
