About The Position
Basis North America is seeking experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineers / Millwrights with strong backgrounds in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines and Brush Generators to support outage, maintenance, commissioning, and installation projects throughout the United States. This role requires extensive travel and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in most or all of the following: Heavy Duty Gas Turbine maintenance, installation, overhaul, and commissioning.
- Mechanical work on industrial generators.
- Generator rotor removal and installation.
- Generator stator inspections.
- Bearing inspection, replacement, and setup.
- Air gap measurements.
- Turbine-to-generator alignment.
- Exciter inspection and maintenance.
- Generator assembly and disassembly.
- Major Inspections (MI).
- Hot Gas Path Inspections (HGPI).
- Combustion Inspections (CI).
- Outage execution and startup support.
- Precision measurements, clearances, tolerances, and OEM assembly procedures.
- Oil flushing, lube oil systems, seal oil systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Reading OEM mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- U.S. work authorization.

- Brush Generator experience.
- Experience with GE Frame 5, GE Frame 6, GE Frame 7 / 7EA / 7FA, Siemens Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Mitsubishi Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, GE LM2500, GE LM6000, GE TM2500.
- Experience on Brush Generators.
- Generator rotor replacement experience.
- Generator alignment experience.
- Exciter systems experience.
- Generator commissioning experience.
- Generator mechanical overhauls experience.
- Experience in LNG Facilities, Combined Cycle Power Plants, Simple Cycle Power Plants, Refineries, Petrochemical Plants, Oil & Gas, Offshore facilities.
- Previous Field Service, Millwright, Mechanical FSE, Technical Advisor (TA), or Technical Field Advisor (TFA) experience.
- TWIC Card.
