About The Position

This position primarily involves assisting Operations/Manufacturing in bringing new equipment, tooling, and technology online by overseeing trial builds under the guidance of Manufacturing Engineers. The role also supports Manufacturing Engineers with process development for new product industrialization, aiming to meet program targets for safety, process capability, labor and materials costs, and cycle time through prototype and early release part builds. Additionally, the technician will assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives, including tracking trial and early-stage pass/fail rates, machine performance, and cycle time. Documentation of work through writing and photography for reporting and work instruction creation is a key responsibility, as is collaborative participation in facility-wide Safety, Quality, and waste reduction problem-solving activities, and assisting with operator training.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using PPE for eye, face, hand, arm, and foot protection.
  • Ability and initiative to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Experience using non-powered hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, and mallets.
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings; comfortable with both imperial and metric units.
  • Experience using basic measurement instruments: rulers, calipers, thermometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and a stopwatch.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Experience using MS Excel or similar electronic record-keeping tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Experience working in an ISO/IATF/AS environment.

Responsibilities
