About The Position
MET’s are responsible for machine layouts in 3D CAD, light design of mechanical assemblies/systems, wiring harness routing, and/or hydraulic hose routing related to heavy equipment design. This position reports directly to Product Managers or the Director of Engineering.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Understanding of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice To Haves
- Relevant experience via education requirement
- Project management skills preferred
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes relevant to mechanical engineering.
Responsibilities
- Non-structural mechanical design
- Machine component/sub-system layouts
- Detailing of component specifications
- Support of production assembly documentation
- Hydraulic hose/wire routing
- Hydraulic/electrical schematic CAD
- Solid Modeling (Solid Edge CAD software)
- Schematic CAD (Automation Studio/Zuken/Solid edge 2D)
- 90% of time will be spent in various CAD software packages. 3D/2D CAD.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Complete additional training as assigned by Supervisor or Risk Management.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
