About The Position

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Technical Support Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Seymour, IN. In this role, you will make an impact by disassembling and rebuilding production and experimental engines and components, measuring and recording measurements, configuring and operating data acquisition systems, analyzing and reviewing data for appropriateness, installing engines and components in test cells or test rigs, fabricating necessary piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings, diagnosing engine and test cell problems, configuring and operating engines or rigs, measuring and recording data as requested, and performing preventative maintenance on engines, test cells or test rigs. You will also execute written work requests and report on results in a specified format, support technicians and engineers as required, understand and apply appropriate Company and department rules and guidelines to work, interface with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions, participate in the maintenance of quality procedures, participate in improvement projects, develop and give presentations to customers and suppliers, maintain cleanliness within the workplace, know and comply with departmental safety policies and procedures, demonstrate confidentiality as required, participate in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action, and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
