About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineering Structures Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will support engineering efforts to meet shop and supplier delivery requirements. This role involves performing hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to address Quality Notices (QN's). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical solutions and deliver results, documenting and presenting analysis outcomes through formal reports and presentations to management and customers. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations. Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship
  • Experience with Ansys
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, Teamcenter, Unigraphics, Ansys, and classical methods of analysis.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the structural discipline.
