Role Overview
This role will support hardware development for June-August 2026. You’ll be part of the Prototyping team, responsible for development, assembly, and testing parts used in our humanoid robots. This is a hands-on, in-person role based in Palo Alto. For the right candidate, this internship may lead to a full-time offer.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering
• Basic CAD skills (SolidWorks, Onshape, etc.)
• Comfortable doing physical work,, setup, assembly, post-processing
• Able to work on-site in Palo Alto
• Currently studying engineering or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Worked on robotics, mechatronics, or general hardware projects

Responsibilities

• 3D-print and assemble prototypes
• Create models in multiple materials
• Conduct durability testing
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate new parts and resolve fit-and-function issues
• Contribute to the design and engineering of the next robot revision - your work is production-critical, not a side project
• Create and edit CAD models for printing or milling
• Document print settings, results, and workflows
• Maintain print lab organization and inventory
