Requirements

• 0 to 3 years of applicable experience.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent hands-on ability and mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Must follow verbal and/or written instructions and take direction from their supervisor or lead personnel.
• Able to lift and carry samples and products up to 50 pounds.
• Competitive and goal-oriented performer who thrives on difficult assignments and works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering curriculum.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SolidWorks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Validation testing, product specification verification, product performance testing, regulatory safety testing, product durability and reliability testing, field testing.
• Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Electric motors and power transmission systems.
• Ability to work with instrumentation including: temperature, humidity, gas flow, electric power, vibration and acoustical noise and data loggers.
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors and fluid power systems.
• Able to fabricate test/prototype.
• Ability to perform mechanical component inspection.
• Ability to perform technical report writing.
