About The Position

The Arconic Internship Program offers interns the opportunity to be part of real-world business challenges. Interns' skills are sharpened as full members of a project team, collaborating with colleagues, peers, leaders, and stakeholders. Each intern is paired with a manager and a mentor to help acclimate them to the company and the local area. Every intern is required to complete at least one project during their time with Arconic, which will be presented to their location’s Lead Team and compete in the company-wide Intern Presentation Challenge for cash prizes. In addition to real-world, professional experience, Arconic aims to provide networking opportunities and personal growth. Additional activities include professional sporting events, volunteer experiences, Meet-and-Greet lunches with the location Lead Team, Presentations and Q&As with Arconic leaders and C-Suite Executives, Plant Tours at other locations, and other local outings. The Arconic Internship Program is designed to offer professional and personal development as well as a memorable experience for the aspiring professional. We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as an Mechanical Engineering Intern. This paid intern position is Full-Time with a minimum 12-week assignment for the upcoming summer from mid-May to mid-August. This position will be based at our Lancaster, PA location. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • 3.0 GPA and above
  • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity (school club, part-time employment, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support Mechanical Engineers with current projects and initiatives
  • Attend all meetings with the Mechanical Engineering mentor
  • Participate in designated projects as well as day to day aspects of mechanical work at the Lancaster, PA facility
