About The Position

Signify is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Cooper Lighting Solutions in Aurora, Colorado, for Spring 2027. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new lighting products and support the technical aspects of products in the portfolio. The role includes conducting mechanical and electrical tests to assess reliability and safety, validating electrical components such as drivers and sensors for compliance with industry standards, and integrating multiple components into cohesive product designs. The intern will own the laboratory testing environment and troubleshoot technical issues during product development and maintenance. The internship could lead to an at-will full-time role at Signify.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment, including thermocouples, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with CAD design and mechanical systems analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
