About The Position

This is an exciting job opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern, in Aurora, CO, with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new lighting products and support all technical aspects of the products in our portfolio. Responsibilities include conducting mechanical and electrical testing to ensure product reliability and safety, validating electrical components such as drivers and sensors for compliance with industry standards, and validating multiple components into a cohesive product design. The intern will also own the laboratory testing environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during product development and maintenance.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Experience working with electrical testing equipment including thermocouples, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Experience with CAD design and mechanical systems analysis
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
