About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineering I you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling. You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering. This position will have a Hybrid work schedule. Employees working in hybrid roles are expected to work onsite at one of our Ontario offices (Kitchener, Burlington, Peterborough) 2 days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering from Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of conceptual design development, with design reviews and engineering change control processes

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling
• Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product
• Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team
• Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standards
